Karim El Shafei is an Egyptian commercial film director working across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the wider MENA region. His strongest current body of work sits in premium branded filmmaking, fragrance and luxury-product storytelling, and Saudi culture-led work.
The focus is on films that carry craft and scale without losing human feeling—where performance, atmosphere, music, design and editorial rhythm all serve one clear idea.

Before directing became the center of the work, editing built the instinct.
Karim began his career in editing, working across music videos, commercials, television, series and short-form film. That background shaped the way he directs today—with a strong sense of pace, visual rhythm, performance continuity and how a film will ultimately live in the cut.
Editing remains part of his creative language rather than a separate chapter. Constructing stories frame by frame continues to influence his approach to coverage, transitions, music, sound and the emotional architecture of a film.
